What is IMEI number?IMEI Number is International Mobile Equipment Identity number is a number unique to every GSM and WCDMA and iDEN mobile phone in the world.(MEID-Mobile Equipment Identifier for CDMA).Every phone manufactured comes with a a unique 15-digit IMEI code that identifies a mobile.
How do we check the IMEI number of our handset?
The IMEI number will be displayed on the screen of the phone by entering *#06#  into the keypad.
In GSM (Global System for Mobile communications) mobiles IMEI number can be used to track/identify valid devices and therefore can be used to stop a stolen phone from accessing the network.

The stolen mobile can be blacklisted using the IMEI number.To blacklist the mobile handset using IMEI number contact the local operator with a request that it should be blocked.
Low end Chinese mobiles and IMEI Number.
Majority of the low end Chinese phones that have flooded the market do not have IMEI number.Government of India - Department of Telecom (DoT)  blocked cell phones which do not bear the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number. Even mobile phones that have all zeroes or no zero in their IMEI code will be barred.
Some Chinese handsets are having proper IMEI number and those will not be barred.
Since low cost Chinese mobiles has many features that only high end mobiles used to have,millions of people bought these handsets.
Places like Kerala are flooded with IMEI number less chinese mobiles and the users will have to take necessary steps to ensure that the mobile phone handset he is carrying should have proper IMEI number.

Megastar Mammooty and Director Ranjith join again to do another movie named Paleri Manikyam: Oru Pathira Kolapathakathinte Kadha.
Mammootty dons a double role in this movie.Debutante Mythili is doing the character, Manikyam.
The movie is based on writer T P Rajeevan's novel ‘Paleri Manikyam’.
 The story follows Haridas, a private detective, is investigating the murder of a young woman, Manikyam, which happened over 50 years back. It’s about a girl named Manikyam who was raped and murdered brutally on the eleventh day after her marriage.The case was closed since there was no clue and no suspects were found. The incident happened in a place called ‘Paleri’ near Kozhikode.Haridas is assisted by Sarayu Sharma, a criminologist, in the investigation.
Apart from Mammootty and Mythili main roles are handled by Sreenivasan, Siddique, T Damodaran and Shwetha Menon.

Guruvayur / Guruvayoor is a famous Krishna temple located in the town of Guruvayur in the Thrissur district of Kerala.Guruvayoorappan has a distinct place in every heart and every Malayali household. The presiding deity in the sanctum-sanctorum is Mahavishnu. Guruvayur is also known as "Bhuloka Sri Vaikuntham" meaning Heaven in Earth. where the deity reveals himself to his devotees in the same majestic form in which he welcomes them in Vaikuntha, his celestial abode.
Guruvayur lies 25 km to the northwest of Thrissur city.
The temple is being run by the Guruvayur Devaswom Management Committee under the directions of Government of Kerala.
Records indicate the temple to be at least 1000 years old.
Strict dress code exists for devotees who wish to enter the Guruvayoor temple. Men are to wear Mundu and a small piece of cloth (Veshthi) to cover chest.  Girls and women are not supposed to wear any trouser like dresses. Women are expected to wear Sari and young girls are to wear long skirt and blouses.Presently the dress code for women have been relaxed with Salwar Kameez/Churidar being allowed.

Festivals at the Guruvayur temple:
The utsavam in Guruvayur is in the month of Kumbham (Feb-Mar) and the celebrations are spread over a period of 10 days.

The Guruvayur Ekadesi falls in the month of Vrischika (Nov-Dec). Once when Lord Maha Vishnu visited the abode of Yama, he heard heart rending cries of people tortured for their sins. The Lord wanted to save them from more suffering and uttered the word Ekadesi.

By Train:
The nearest railway station is at Guruvayur.
Passenger trains operate from the Guruvayur station to Thrissur and Kochi, as well as an overnight express train to Thiruvananthapuram and further to Chennai.

By Air:
The nearest airport (75 km) is Cochin International Airport, at Nedumbassery near Kochi.
Kozhikode International Airport is also around 85 Kms from Guruvayoor, it will take approximately 2 hrs to reach Guruvayur by bus or by car.

Guruvayur is famous for the Sri Krishna Temple, said to have been visited by Lord Brahma himself.The square Sreekovil is the sacred sanctum Sanctorum of the temple, housing the main deity of Lord Krishna, an incarnation of Lord MahaVishnu.
Guruvayur Located 29 km north-west of Thrissur town.
Guruvayur has got a railway station towards the east of the temple which is connected to the Madras-Mangalore main line at Thrissur.

Athirapilly Falls -Athirapilly water Falls
Athirappally is located around 60 km from Thrissur, at the entrance to Sholayar ranges, and is one of the most famous picnic spots around that area. Athirappilly Falls is one of the best places to visit in Kerala.
Athirapilly Falls is at a height of around 80 ft. and is located amidst forests. The fall joins the Chalakkudy River after a plummeting drop of 80 ft.
