According to recent study compiled by economics research firm Indicus Analytics on residences, earnings and investments, none of the major Indian cities figured in the List.In fact from the study we can easily figure out that Kerala is the best place to live in India.Total justice to it's brand name 'God's own Country'.

The best cities to reside are Kochi (Cochin), Kozhikode (Calicut), Shimla, Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), Mysore, Goa, Thrissur (Trichur), Pondicherry, Kannur (Canannore) and Thiruvalur. Interestingly, five of these cities are in God's own country -- Kerala. Shimla is the only northern city in this list, while Chandigarh, among the few fully planned cities in the country, failed to find a place.

Indicus considered six parameters -- health, education, environment, safety, public facilities and entertainment -- for preparing the 'reside-in' index.

All the major Kerala cities found top places in the list and thats a good news.

Dear Keralites let us try to keep our cities and it's culture in good standards to remain top in the list always..
Please check out the news ..

As a silent spectator of incidents in Kerala like many of the Keralites living outside Kerala I was very happy when the news of Dubai Internet city coming up in Cochin was exposed to the world. But because of the political issues unfortunately it got delayed.

There are lots of Malayalies who are working in software industry who are eager to come back to Kerala, if get a good opportunity to work over there. Let us hope that that dream will come true as early as possible.

The proposed Medical cum IT Township at Kinaloor near Calicut by the Malasian initiative is also bringing hopes to mallus.

The proposed Cyber park of Calicut is also a good initiative towards that, but only God knows when it will become a reality.

It is known that very small entry-level companies (mostly web design companies) are operating from Calicut, mainly catering the local Customers. It is heard that few of them are getting exposed to clients outside Kerala and let us hope that sooner or later they may grow to the level of a software provider.

The main problem of IT companies operating from Kerala, including the companies of Techno park Trivandrum, is that the pay package what they are offering is very low compared to what people are getting in Bangalore or Pune. Also the chances of getting onsite deputation is also very limited unless you are a senior member of the company.

All these blots are forcing software engineers from taking an opportunity to joining companies that are operating from Kerala and this has created a problem among top players who wanted to start a facility from Techno Park or Cochin and now it is heard that companies are planning to offer better packages for those who are ready to join their Kerala campuses.

Cochin smart city hopes again rejuvenated on 16th November and Kerala chief minister V.S Achudanandan and Dubai smart city executive director Fareed Abdul Rehman laid the foundation stone.
As they claim this will be the biggest IT park in India once the park is fully functional.I have been to a company which is operating from the media city Dubai for a short assignment of two months. The infrastructure and the facilities is really amazing.
But who knows whether any software giants will be ready to operate from the proposed Cochin smart city? Those who knows the people of Kerala and their eagerness to protest to any 'good' thing by the influence of their political affinity.
Still some political parties are protesting against the smart city project merely to get the political advantage.
Needless to say no one cares about the common man !

These days all Malayalam channels are flooding with reality shows and all channels are making big money out of that.
Innocent viewer who send SMS messages to support their favorite singer doesn't know the fact that the episode what he is watching today might have taken a month ago! Who knows ?
I used to watch the Asianet "Idea Star Singer" particularly when the youngest of all contestant sings.I loved his music ,the feel of his songs, but unfortunately he got out in the 7th round in spite of getting 70+ marks in the singing round.
After that i stopped watching the show..
After all these shows have an important aim to make money rather than entertaining people.Either it is TV Channel or the mobile service provider ,doesn't matter..
