CBSE to Offer Courses on Mass Media Studies and Geospatial Practices

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to offer Courses on Mass Media Studies and Geospatial Practices at the senior secondary level, initially on a pilot basis for 33 schools.Union Human Resource and Development (HRD) Minister Kapil Sibal launched courses.According to the media reports the agreements in this regard was signed between CBSE Chairman Vineet Joshi and Whistling Woods International with whom they are partnering for the Mass Media courses and between the CBSE and Rolta India Ltd. with whom they are partnering in the Geospatial study courses.
The Mass Media studies will be Academic/Vocational course and Geospatial Practices will be Vocational course.
This is a welcome development and will encourage our children to take up new challenges in the fields of Mass Media and Geospatial practices.
