Palaruvi waterfalls.
Palaruvi is one of the well known water falls in Kerala and is situated around 66 kms. away from Kollam.
Aryankavu
Aryankavuis around 70 kms. away from Kollam town on the Shencotta road is the pilgrim centre in the mountains "Aryankavu" .
Mayyanad
Mayyanad is noted for its shrines and temples. Mayyanad is around 10 km south of Kollam town.

Sasthamkotta Lake

Oachira
Oachira is around 32 kms from Kollam on the national high way.
Oachira is a famous pilgrim center.Oachira Kali is the famous festival celeberated during the month of June.The presiding deity is the "Parabrahma", the absolute reality, the great source of all forms and phenomena which cannot be symbolised by an idol or housed in a temple. Hence there is no temple or idol for the presiding deity here.
Jatayupara
"JATAYUPAPRA" in Chadayamangalam on the M.C. road. The main attraction is a huge rock where, it is believed that Jatayu, the giant bird in Ramayana fell after failing in its attempt to stop Ravana from taking Sita away.
Ashtamudi Backwaters
Ashtamudi Lake is the gateway to the backwaters. Located in Kollam District.The Kollam Boat Club provides boat rides on the lake as well as houseboat cruises.
