Indian Maritime University (IMU) campus at Cochin Port

IMU the Indian Maritime University will open its regional campus at Kochi port.
IMU is a central university constituted by the Union Government of India.The Cochin campus will be the fourth campus of the Chennai headquartered Central University.
Media reports that The Cochin Port Trust (CPT) Board will consider allotment of 10 acres in Willingdon Island to set up IMU's the campus.

The other campuses of IMU are at Visakhapatnam, Kolkata and Mumbai Ports.

1. BSc Nautical Science
2. BE Marine Engineering
3. MBA in Port and Shipping Management and International Transportation and Port Management
4. B.Tech (Naval Architecture)

This is the first University to commence shipping related graduate courses in Kerala.
