Aiming to acknowledge petitions received by the Chief Minister's office and send responses to the shortest period Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan launched E-post facility at his office.By this Kerala became the first corporate consumer of E-post facility, functioning under the Postal Department.
In E-post the data is transmitted through scanning. The transmitted data is downloaded in the nearest ePost centre and the last mile reach is provided through the traditional mode of physical delivery by postmen.
The E-Post would be jointly implemented by National Informatics Centre (NIC), Postal Department and IT Department.It is expected that the system would later be introduced to all other minister's office in the state.
Let us hope this facility would improve and facilitate the communication between common man and the Government of Kerala.
