As mentioned above the new terminal is excellent with great features and facilities. But what about the cargo terminal. No one is bothered about cargo..About 50 percent of the airline revenue is generated from cargo. As of now the cargo operations are planned from the present terminal itself which is about 5km to the new terminal which is goin to be a big problem. The KSIE (Kerala state industrial enterprises) which manages the cargo terminal nor the state government is not at all bothered about this.Half the revenue of most of the foreign airlines operating to and from trivandrum comes from export cargo and without this the airlines cannot survive and will be forced to withdraw service.

Request all the concerned to look into the matter seriously and set up a new warehouse/cargo terminal near to the new terminal.

TORCHERING HOURS FOR SMOKERS WHO ARE TRAVELLING FROM TRIVANDRUM INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

I was travelling on 1st March,2011 (the day airport is officially started operations)from our new airport and no smoking room is available for smokers. Checked with officials and they confirmed that it will be arranged in a week time. Again I used this airport on 20th but situation is same...the information is " We are working on this issue"". Their reply looks I was asking to construct a runaway or another terminal. If the authorities are not providing the facilities even after paying Rs.575.00 per traveller. PLEASE....DON'T TORCHER ANYMORE...BETTER WE WILL GO BACK TO OUR OLD AIRPORT....
