Another step that will boost Kerala's tourism industry especially Kochi's tourism potential.India's first World class Marina commissioned by Union Defence Minister A K Antony.
Media says the marina built at a cost of Rs 8.21 crore.The Kochi International Marina has been designed and developed by Ocean Blue Marinas.
Kochi became a touching place of Luxury cruise lines.During the last one year, 50 luxury ships have touched Kochi.Also the Last year's Volvo Ocean Race had a stop over at Kochi.
Kochi's strategic sea route position gives high importance to Kochi as a sea port as wells as a major tourist attraction.
The Kochi Marina can house around 50 yachts.Marina house, a part of this project, features 24 rooms, including four suites, a health club, caféteria and recreation facilities, besides a golf course.
Kochi International Marina is a Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) venture and is located on the eastern coast of Bolgatty Island in the Bolgatty Palace.

    A welcome facility BUT ....... No restrooms for the yachtsmen! Pontoons much too short for the average visiting yacht! It seems no management in place! Sorry, but this is not yet an international standard marina by any means.
