Initiated by Adventure Sports & Sustainable Tourism Academy (ASSTA) and supported by Department of Tourism the 'Kerala ParaGliding GrandPrix' will start on 23rd of september at Wagamon in Idukki district,Kerala.
It is expected that more than 75 glider pilots from India and abroad would display their skills in the fourth Kerala International Paragliding Championship.
Media reports that about 20 gliders from the US, Switzerland, Italy, France, Nepal, Russia, Germany, Brazil and Thailand will participate in the five-day event.
The event has bagged the 'Most Innovative Adventure Tourism Activity' by Government of India in 2008.
