From October ,only 5 'other bank ATM' transactions per month and a maximum withdrawal limit Rs.10000.
Bank customers enjoyed free withdrawal of money from any ATM from last April onwards.Earlier, banks used to charge Rs 20 per transaction from a customer who didn’t have an account with them.
Now RBI has decided to put some restrictions on free other bank ATM usage facility.
Indian Banks’ Association approached RBI -The Reserve Bank of India - to put some restriction on the free ATM usage because of the difficulties that member banks were facing because of unfettered access to their ATMs.
RBI accepted the suggestion to limit the number of free transactions to five a month and cap the withdrawal limit at Rs 10,000 per card swipe.
Savings bank customers will be subject to a withdrawal ceiling of Rs 10,000 a transaction at non-home bank ATMs. Related Posts with Thumbnails
