The SEZ (Special Economic Zone) being developed by IT Major Infosys adjacent to Technopark is nearing completion and is expected to open by end of the year or early next year.The 50 acre land was transferred to Infosys by the government in 2006.

The special economic zone would have two separate buildings.Media reports that one of the building is almost ready and work on the other is progressing.Each building can accommodate 1500 IT professionals.
Currently Infosys has a development centre in the Technopark campus that employs more than 1,500 professionals.
Once opened the new campus will boost kerala's image as favorite IT destination and is expected that ore IT majors will follow the path.
Kerala government is aggressively developing IT parks across the state.It has already two major parks,the Technpark Thiruvananthapuram and InfoPark Kochi.
The land acquisition process of the proposed cyber park at Kozhikode is going on.The Thrissur IT park is all set to open.
