If the plan of major software company Mphasis is materialized ,it will boost the IT/software business domain of Calicut (kozhikode).
According to the reports published in Asian Age ,The IT and BPO major Mphasis is looking to expand it's operation to tier II and tier III cities.The company already has its business process outsourcing centres in a few tier II cities and is looking to expand both the BPO and application centre network to Coimbatore, Tiruchirapalli, Madurai, Calicut, Kozhikode, Jaipur, Bhuban-eshwar, and Rourkela.If this happens this will be the first major IT company starting it's operation in Kerala.
