This news surely bring relief to the poor farmers of Wayanad district,where suicide is reported almost every day because of their inability to pay back the loan amount they took from the banks.
In a relief to debt-ridden farmers of Wayanad district, Kerala's LDF Government on Wednesday announced the take over of loans of up to Rs 25,000 lent by Co-operative banks.
The concession would be available on loans taken up to June 2006 by small-holders owning up to 1 acre of land.
